ExtrActive lenses are more reactive to sunlight behind a windshield than Transitions Mirrors.
Here’s why:
-
Transitions XTRActive lenses are specifically designed to darken even behind a car windshield, thanks to their ability to react to both UV light and visible light. This makes them suitable for driving, where standard photochromic lenses (which rely mostly on UV) don't work as well.
-
Transitions Mirrors lenses are based on XTRActive technology but include a mirror coating. While they still offer some activation behind a windshield, the mirror finish slightly reduces the lens’s ability to darken compared to the plain XTRActive version.
