For very bright snow conditions like ice fishing and high elevations, a solid smoke or gray polarized lens is generally the best option. It provides the highest level of light reduction while keeping colors natural and comfortable, which helps reduce eye fatigue from intense glare off the snow.
Trivex with a smoke tint and cobalt blue mirror is an excellent combination. The polarization cuts reflected glare, the smoke base handles high brightness, and the mirror adds additional surface reflection for extra comfort in extreme light.
